Taking the Great Barrier Reef into your classroom
Reef HQ Aquarium is the world’s largest coral reef aquarium and is the Australian Government’s national education centre for the Great Barrier Reef. It is operated by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority.
Whilst the aquarium is temporarily closed for refurbishment, the Reef Education Team are still delivering virtual learning experiences that allow anyone, anywhere to learn about and experience the wonders and beauty of the Great Barrier Reef.
Our range of curriculum linked virtual learning experiences are facilitated by a team of highly qualified marine educators who are flexible in their delivery of presentations, and who can tailor the presentation to suit all ages and stages of learning. These are an exciting, stimulating and easy way to involve and engage students in learning about a variety of topics relating to the Great Barrier Reef.
Each Virtual Learning Experience is supported by a range of additional digital educational resources for pre, during and post-event student learning and engagement.
Reef Education Virtual Learning Experiences can be delivered nationally and/or internationally. Through our Zoom meeting room or webinar platforms, we can accommodate up to 500 individual connections in each event. This means multiple classes can connect to the same session.
